spring basket favorites

We love Springtime & celebrating the resurrection of our Savior! I also love it because it means warmer weather, green grass and all things bright and sunny. Olivia and Penelope both say that bunnies are their favorite animal, and every where we go (Target, the grocery store, etc.), we find bunnies to carry around with us while we're there and then I gently remind the girls we aren't bringing them home but instead can see them next time ;)

This year, I had so much fun putting together Spring baskets for our three girls. Do I seriously have three girls to fill baskets for?!

I kept things pretty simple and tried to include items in their baskets that were both practical and fun, as well as lots of things from my favorite shops and brands, including Cuddle & Kind, Tubby ToddMy Sweet MuffinHudson & Ruthie, Hooray Everyday, Freshly Picked, Wunderkin Co., and more.

This year I also wanted to create them using a basket I could actually, well...use! I didn't want to get traditional Easter baskets because in the past I've done that and then they just sit in a storage closet all year. I partnered with one of my favorite children's brands, Petit Pehr, to create baskets using their darling pom pom pint sized bins. These were the absolute perfect size to fit some larger items in (whoever said you can't include a jean jacket in an Easter basket?!), and the best part is that they can be reused in the girls bedrooms, nursery and playroom. They are so versatile, neutral and a fun alternative to traditional baskets. We love storing things like swaddle blankets, crib sheets, dolls, stuffed animals and more in them. I went with the blush pom pom pints because I love poms and the texture they add to a space, but they have so many options for all types of decor and style. This stripe one is super fun and bright and this bunny print one is especially sweet for Springtime. Their storage comes in all different sizes too; find the full collection here.
One of my all-time favorite online boutiques is My Sweet Muffin, which sells a wide variety of beautiful gifts and toys, including an incredible selection of our favorite Maileg toys. Olivia and Penelope absolutely love playing pretend with their little mice. It's the perfect quiet activity for the afternoon and I was thrilled to add more to their collection from My Sweet Muffin. I also picked up this set of floral suitcases for the girls to store their mice in. They have a really sweet selection of wooden kitchen toys, which is always fun for kids. We have this play kitchen and every few months I love adding another type of pretend food to it. We've had this gelato stand for over a year now and it continues to be a favorite for the girls. Another item I love are their Hazel Village dolls and animals, the perfect little friend to add to a basket.

A few of the items I'm most excited to be putting in their baskets this year are the newest Cuddle + Kind Lucy the Lamb for Adaline (how sweet is this boy version?!), especially because Cuddle + Kind donates 10 meals to children in need with every doll purchased. They are handmade in Peru and are such a special keepsake. Olivia and Penelope now have tea parties with their Cuddle + Kind dolls, they are the perfect size to sit on our play chairs near their kitchen!

I'm also so excited to give them each a bottle of our favorite bath products from Tubby Todd. And...I might just have plans to use some of it myself. I've shared my love of Tubby Todd many times and they just released the most beautifully designed Spring Bundle, including Green Floral Hair & Body Wash, Honeysuckle Blossom Everyday Lotion and Pomegranate Pear Bubble Bath. Of their classic scents, I absolutely love their Lavender & Rosemary Everyday Lotion...I use it all the time for myself and the girls...even Dustin loves it ;)

Cute shoes always seem to make their way into the girls' gifts and I was so excited to include Mary Janes from Freshly Picked for Penelope and Adaline. They just released the new style a few weeks ago and we have been loving their traditional moccasins since Olivia was born, it's so fun to add new ones to their collection. The scallops along the sides are so feminine and sweet. You can't ever go wrong with platinum but I also love their birch color too. To read more about all the reasons we love Freshly Picked, visit my post here.

Last but not least, I'm adding in some of the sweetest handmade items from dear friends of mine, including this limited edition bunny rattle from Hudson & Ruthie for Della, bonnets from Sweet as April and these darling woolie ball necklaces {above} from Hooray Everyday for Olivia and Poppy. I always try to throw in a few things that will keep them occupied when I am nursing, pumping, cooking, cleaning, etc., so other great items to add to their baskets are board books, stickers and water pads. If you are looking for the best sticker book we've found thus far (it keeps the girls occupied for up to an hour at a time), it's this one. Olivia spends so much time on it -- it's the perfect activity for quiet time, after nap while I'm making dinner, etc. and now that Poppy is 18 months, she is starting to love sticker books just like her big sister!

I hope that gives you some fun new ideas for your littles' baskets this year! Find me on instagram @blessednestblog to watch a story and get a closer look at all the items that went in to the baskets! Happy Wednesday! XO
