This week's Shop Spotlight is so charming, and a shop I have loved since Olivia was born -- Shop Miryn. My first purchase was well over a year ago -- a set of gorgeous bibs when V was just a few months old. The attention to detail, the beautiful craftsmanship & the excellent customer service from the very beginning showed me that this was a shop I would always love. Still some of the most beautiful bibs we own, I was thrilled when I learned that Megan Wood, the owner and creative Mama behind Shop Miryn, made bonnets, clothing & scarves as well.
Megan is one of the sweetest Mamas out there and ever so talented. Each of her creations are modern, whimsical, and full of charm. Her pieces are made of the prettiest fabrics you can find and everything in her shop is just lovely.

"I don't remember a time I wasn't making things but I officially started MIRYN after my son, Fox, was born and I couldn't find any comfortable, but hip clothes for him. After I made him a few pieces and they kept receiving compliments when we were out and about, I decided to try and make it my full time thing."
"Honestly, I'm a super hands-on mom and being able to balance that time creating in the studio with playing with Fox has helped keep me sane! What inspires me the most is pattern mixing -- there's an art to it and I'm constantly playing around with it to try and get that perfect combination."
"Before opening up my shop, I worked full time as a display coordinator for Anthropolgie for four years. When I got pregnant I knew I wanted to have more freedom over my schedule so I worked part time as a vegan pastry chef. Then MIRYN was born and unbelievably, it's already been two years that I've been growing and loving this job of mine. My husband and I are also in the middle of starting a mini organic farm on our five acres. It's a balancing act keeping all the parts of my life that bring me joy in the air at the same time but I'm proud and happy that I really do love them all!"

my favorite products || With patterns this pretty, how can I possibly choose just one? For the Fall, my absolute favorite product is the new Huckle Scarf -- seriously cozy flannel that would be perfect for boys or girls / I also adore the Elsy toddler top which shows off Megan's art of pattern mixing and love the peter pan collar which adds femininity / Finally, the Eloise skirt is just breathtaking and I'd love to put Olivia in that for Spring & Summer -- I love that it is reversible!
quality + craftsmanship || The bibs and bonnets we have are all made with so much love and care. Even just looking at the design and intricate details that go into each product, it's clear how much time and expertise Megan puts into her products. They are durable, made of high quality materials and can stand up to a busy, busy toddler. Always a win.
overall opinon || I love everything in Megan's shop, and I love that her products are unlike anything you could find elsewhere. Her bonnets are especially neat, as they can be worn two different ways -- above, as pictured, or with the front flap folded back. Megan color coordinates her solid bonnet linings with each pattern, and I love that they're so versatile in both the colors and the styling options. Olivia wears hers both ways -- I love the visor out especially when the sun is bright, but folding it back to show off the mix of pattern & solid is fun too. Even the scalloped edge detail is just so sweet. What Mama doesn't want to put a bonnet like that on her little girl?
value + recommendation || Everything from Shop MIRYN is classy, unique and well-made. Not only are they pieces I love to put on Olivia, but a bonnet or skirt would make such sweet shower or new baby gift. Her Lydia bonnets are all lined with Organic Sherpa, making them perfect for cooler weather in the Fall and Winter. With options for both boys and girls, excellent prices for the quality, and one-of-a-kind products, MIRYN is a true gem.
